“Colorado has a huge, mindful community of people engaged in yoga, organics, environmentalism and ethical consumerism who also love music and having a good time,” says Jeff Krasno, co-founder of the Wanderlust festival. The yoga-centric festival has grown into a four-stop summer tour, with events in Vermont, California and British Columbia; Copper Mountain recently signed a five-year contract to bring it to Colorado. “It’s an obvious fit for us, and we are very excited to bring our unique mix of conscious fun to the epic scenery of Copper Mountain for the first time,” Krasno says.
Sessions start at 8 a.m. today with yogini Shiva Rea’s two-hour “Rhythmic Vinyasa: Syncing With the Natural Pulse,” and the rest of the four-day schedule is packed with yoga sessions of every variety, as well as adventurous mountain-bike interludes and guided hikes. Ziggy Marley is headlining the concert stage, which will feature dozens of acts over the course of Wanderlust, and speakers include Deepak Chopra, Aron “127 Hours” Ralston, Off the Mat Into the World founder Seane Corn, and Ohio congressman Tim Ryan, author of A Mindful Nation. There will also be farm-to-table dinners, “Winederlust” wine and beer samplings, and a Wanderkind program for kids under eleven.

“There are very few events that can combine a reggae legend, a spiritual author, one of the world’s leading yoga teachers and a congressman,” Krasno says. “However, there is a common thread: They all share a commitment to conscious living. This is what makes Wanderlust so unique.” Tickets start at $99 for single-day options and cap out at $475 for an all-inclusive four-day pass, with discounts for kids between the ages of eleven and sixteen.
