There are a lot of parties scheduled around the Democratic National Convention, but none are quite as inclusive as the Unity Dance ’08 party tonight at Tracks, 3500 Walnut Street. Sponsored by Babes Around Denver and Tracks, the fest welcomes gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender folks — and their straight friends and supporters — to come in, throw down on the dance floor and have a great time in a spirit of acceptance and openness. Sponsored by nearly a dozen gay and human-rights organizations, the party is believed by organizers to be the biggest GLBT gathering ever in a DNC host city.

The party starts with a catered reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Afterward, DJs Manny Lehman and Lydia Prim will spin some serious dance grooves in the main room while DJ Trina J plays retro favorites in the Heaven Lounge. Admission is $10 before 9, $15 from 9 to 11, and $25 after 11. For more info, visit www.tracksdenver.com.
