Freeze Frame

Freeze! No, this isn’t a stick-up, and we’re not playing freeze tag, but if you’re good at freezing in one place and you’re up for some lighthearted fun with a performance-art element, go to Civic Center Park today at 2:30 p.m. to learn about and participate in Freeze Denver with the Flash Mob.

The concept: After a quick debriefing, everyone will synchronize their watches and make their way over to California Street and Tremont Plaza, where they’ll freeze for five full minutes at 3 p.m. sharp. The stunt is bound to confuse and amuse bystanders, and participants will undoubtedly have funny stories to share afterward when the group meets back at the Civic Center.

Similar freezes have been done in numerous cities, including New York (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwMj3PJDxuo&feature=related), London (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS65a-RKTQk&feature=related) and Brussels (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SHjpf8aC6A&feature=related); for more information, visit http://denver.craigslist.org/eve/653527724.html.
