If youre sweet on chocolate, then be still, your beating heart, because Cupid is coming early, at least to Boulder, where the Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) will host its annual Chocolate Lovers Fling. Tonights love affair, a benefit for SPAN a nonprofit that provides a safe haven, counseling and legal advocacy to those afflicted by domestic violence in Broomfield and Boulder counties swings into action at 6:30 p.m. at the UCAR Event Center.
"Its our biggest fundraiser of the year, and a natural tie-in to Valentines Day, says SPAN development director Alexandra Lynch. This is our thirtieth year, and its a wonderful event, with fabulous chocolate confections, ice creams and cakes from chocolatiers and pastry chefs from Boulder and across Colorado.
