The concept of the second annual Green Spaces Eco-Halloween Bash isnt really a new one: Since time immemorial, or at least in the last century, people have been picking through rag piles, dumpsters, Goodwill stores and Grandmas attic for the makings of a really cool Halloween costume. But, says Jennie Nevin of Green Spaces Colorado, this event, a green party with beverages by Green Drinks, organic eats and live music, is truly a product of the back-to-basics 21st century.

Last years event was a great success, she says. People came in wearing reused materials for Halloween costumes. We had a fashion show with a runway, and everyone got to vote for their favorites. The idea is to bring our network of green businesses and ecopreneurs together for a fun event. Itll be pretty much the same drill this year, from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at Green Spaces, 1368 26th Street.
Admission is $5 at the door for folks in costume and $10 for everyone else, with one drink included in the price; additional beverages will cost you a $2 donation. RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 303-720-6850.
