In the hope that the next president will be more open-minded, Hart has compiled ideas for moving forward in a new book, Under the Eagle's Wing: A National Security Strategy of the United States for 2009, which he'll introduce and sign tonight. Among other things, he suggests that the U.S. build security coalitions with longtime allies as well as rivals. Hart feels this process can be accomplished in ten to twenty years if the next Oval Office occupant convinces doubtful leaders that "we're back in business."
The free Hart event begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Tattered Cover LoDo, 1628 16th Street. Learn more at 303-436-1070 or www.tatteredcover.com; check out Harts views about superdelegates and more at blogs.westword.com/demver.
