A clone army of Santa Clauses is coming to town! Hundreds, maybe even thousands of Denverites will dress up like Santa or sexy Santa’s helpers and hitting LoDo for Denver’s annual Santa Claus Pub Crawl. The crawl starts at 1 p.m. today at Fadó, 1735 19th Street, where a tree will be set up and participants can donate presents for needy children. From there, the beery St. Nicks will throng their way to the Breckenridge Brewery, the Retro Room, the Tavern and Jackson's.

The Santa Claus Pub Crawl is a tradition in cities around the world, ranging from Moscow (which boasted a record-setting 70,000 Santas at its 2006 crawl) to Wollongong, Australia. The Denver chapter was organized in 2002 by Albin Ulle and Will Hamilton, who limited attendance on the inaugural run to a dozen or so of their friends. But the event has grown every year since, and this year’s crawl promises to be a real spectacle: Over 500 people have already RVSP’d to Ulle’s Evite blast, and attendance may ultimately total in the thousands.

So grab your Santa suit and join in on the Xmas-y shenanigans. For details go to the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=315701760645.
