Just Cause

Four Denver chefs — Elise Wiggins (Panzano), Justin Cucci (Root Down), Mick Rosacci (Tony’s Market) and Sheila Lucero (Jax Fish House) — will put their breast foot forward tonight at the fourth annual Cook for the Cause, a benefit to raise funds for the Colorado Cancer Coalitions. “Cook for the Cause supports our goal of increasing breast-health awareness and providing screening mammograms to women who cannot afford them on their own,” says Lora D. Barke, medical director of Invision Sally Jobe Breast Network. The sip-and-sup orgy, which includes cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and raffles for dinners at local restaurants, hotel stays and other cool stuff, gets under way at 6 p.m. this evening at Kimball Distributing’s Denver Viking Showroom, 1400 West Third Avenue.
