"It's the question of the decade: What is a feminist?" So says Los Angeles-based artist Ellina Kevorkian, who is guest-blogging for the MCA Denver this spring and will be one of several speakers at “Feminist Bloggers,” tonight's edition of the museum's Feminism & Co series.
As always, the presentation will include a disparate group of voices and plenty of time for an audience-engaged discussion. Joined by history and sexual-politics blogger Ann Little, music-industry writer Ru Johnson and mommy blogger Heather Janssen, Kevorkian will discuss what it means to be a feminist within the realm of blogging -- and women's roles in social media in general.
Feminism & Co. is well under way; future topics include "Boobs" and "The Fine Art of Talking About Sex." Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the program at begins at 6:30 p.m. at the MCA, 1485 Delgany Street. Tickets for the full program, which runs Thursdays through April 11, are $89 ($59 for museum members); individual tickets are $17 ($12 for members).
