Kick Out the JAAMMS
How is this year different from all other years at the Mizel Center for Arts and Culture? The former Leah Cohen Festival of Jewish Books and Authors, the organi-zations long-running annual combination Jewish book fair and author series, has morphed into the Jewish Arts, Authors, Movies and Music Festival, a kosher cul-ture feast of everything Judaic under the sun. And its title couldnt be more succinct: The JAAMM Fest features a little taste of everything.
Along with the esteemed book bazaar, which thankfully returns for its usual two-week run, a kaleidoscope of events, concerts and gallery shows continue through November 9 at the center, 350 South Dahlia Street, in the Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center. Admission to films and most author lectures is $6 to $8 (prices vary for music events); go to www.maccjcc.org or call 303-316-6360 for details, a complete schedule and tickets.
