Although Kick or Treat sounds more like a really sweet option for rogue Halloweeners wherein costumed delinquents are either given candy or allowed to kick homeowners in the shins, then squeal off into the autumn night it actually has more to do with soccer. To mark the last home game of the season (against arch-rivals Real Salt Lake, a contest with potential playoff implications) as well as the approach of All Hallows Eve, your Colorado Rapids are inviting fans to dress up and trick-or-treat around the concourse at Dicks Sporting Goods Park, 6000 Victory Way in Commerce City. Kickoff isnt until 7:30 p.m., but gates will be opened an hour earlier, and those passing through in costume will receive a bag to collect all sorts of goodies, with the first 2,000 kids ages sixteen and under receiving a free soccer ball. Free soccer balls! So whether you cant wait six more days for your gluttonous sugar fix, or youre just a Rapids fan who wants to hide his face in a mask, Dicks is the place to be.
