I just dont understand the current administration. To wit: After suicide bombers take down the Twin Towers and put a hole in the Pentagon, George W. Bush swears up, down and sideways that Iraq is fully behind al-Qaeda, that Saddam Hussein has been secretly manufacturing weapons of mass destruction, and that if we dont strike preemptively, all hell is going to break loose. Then we invade Iraq and discover that, hey, theres no proof that this country has been helping al-Qaeda achieve its goals! And, wait, there are no weapons of mass destruction, either! And now, years and thousands of bodies later, were still there. What the hell is going on here?
Iraq War, The Musical! attempts to answer that question. See, the Bush administration just wants to keep the war going, for whatever reason. Sure, theyre facing lots of opposition, but dont worry theyll keep on making their false connections and ensuring that their contractor friends get all the expensive jobs. And its all put together in a singing, dancing, family-friendly extravaganza, United Nations be damned!
