Hooked on Colfax is one of those quintessential neighborhood spots where you can grab a strong cup of coffee (or a stiff drink, depending on the time of day and your mood) and a quick bite and sit for as long as you desire, flipping through a book or working away on your laptop. And not only does the venue feature live music, Spanish lessons and local art hanging on the walls to captivate you while you slake your thirst, but this summer, the coffeeshop/bar/hangout has added another reason to stop in on Sundays: the Hooked on Colfax Pop-Up Shop, which leverages the community environment of the place to celebrate local vendors.

This week, you'll find Becky Wareing Steele (of Becky's Buttons & Things) and Sara Guindon (of Miss Guindon) selling their wares.
"We do a collaborative diorama locket series that fuses together my work with miniatures and her work with illustration," explains Wareing Steele. "[Sara] also sells paper puppets, and she'll be selling some of her original art prints, and I'll have my whole line of home decor and accessories — dioramas out of thrifted and vintage containers."
Stop by Hooked on Colfax, 3213 East Colfax Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today to experience it for yourself. Call 303-398-2665 for information.
