Explore the sounds of Eastern Europe filtered through a contemporary lens tonight when the Swallow Hill Music Association brings the sounds of Luminescent Orchestrii, Los Lantzmun and Fishtank Ensemble to Denver. These groups represent three distinctive, vibrant takes on traditional folk music of the Balkans and beyond traditional Gypsy melodies, flamenco, Middle Eastern sounds and more combined into energetic world-fusion blends. All three bands fuse a variety of styles a lot of Eastern European sounds and influences, says Swallow Hills Laura McCaughey. Its really quite a bang for your buck.
