International Resale Day is on — and Plum Consignment is leading the charge in Colorado by organizing the first-ever Consignment Crawl. The business, which opened less than a year ago, has partnered with 22 up-cycle boutiques in Denver, Boulder, Arvada, Castle Rock, Brighton and other cities across the state for this day of special promotions, giveaways and sales of gently used clothing, accessories, home decor and furniture.
Plum Consignment owner Crystal Stephen sees the shopping holiday as a way to promote the vast number of businesses utilizing an eco-friendly approach, as well as promoting a community of local retailers with similar goals. Offering women’s, men’s, children’s and plus-size styles from both contemporary and vintage designers, this network of boutiques shows that it’s easy to spend less and waste less by purchasing like-new goods.
Plum Consignment, 2373 Central Park Boulevard, will serve refreshments and hold raffles for in-store giveaways; it will also hand out $5 gift cards to patrons, good toward today’s purchases. To find out what other shops are involved and what they’re doing for the Consignment Crawl — which runs from noon to 6 p.m. — visit plumgood.com or call 303-322-7586.
