Back in 1986, Ann Bolinger-McQuade had a gut feeling that she should get a mammogram; she followed her instinct and discovered that she had breast cancer. Due to early detection, the writer was able to get treatment and recover, but the experience ignited an interest in following intuition and messages that come from the universe, which she calls “personal oracles.”
In her book Everyday Oracles: Decoding the Divine Messages That Are All Around Us, Bolinger-McQuade explores examples of personal oracles from her own life and throughout history and teaches readers ways to recognize and decode these signs — whether they come in the form of an interesting cloud formation or a dream. “There’s no one way that it happens,” explains Bolinger-McQuade. “Some people recognize the spirits of their loved ones through smell, some people get messages on car radios. This isn’t a book just on connecting with spirits that have passed; this is guidance for your everyday life, uncovering the gamut of all the different ways the universe is supporting us all the time.”
She’ll read from and sign her book tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Tattered Cover LoDo, 1628 16th Street. For more information, visit personaloracles.com.
