It wasn't a long trip from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Earth System Research Laboratory to the University of Colorado's Fiske Planetarium. But it might have been a strange one particularly for anyone who happened to catch a glimpse of the traveler, the exhibit Science on a Sphere.
Science on a Sphere consists of a blank six-foot globe suspended from the floor and appearing to float in midair, as well as five computers and four video projectors. Spectators get an astronaut's view of Earth's planetary phenomena weather patterns, oceans, continents as well as depictions of others in the solar system, such as the surface of Mars. Visit http://fiske.colorado.edu or call 303-492-5002 for details.
Starts: April 10. Daily, 2007
