Think of it as a snowy portal to Westword’s Artopia, which follows in just a couple of weeks: In the spirit of that multi-venue, multi-disciplinary night of Denver-made culture and art, tonight’s Whiteout Fashion Show focuses on fashion, with a healthy taste of Artopia-style art and culinary finesse offered on the sidelines. And what a show it will be: Wintry styles by Westword MasterMinds Mona Lucero, Brandi Shigley and Deb Henriksen of Equillibrium will be featured on the runway, along with more hot fashion from Akomplice, Goldyn, Common Era, D’Lola Couture, True Love and other Colorado-based businesses, all to the tunes of Colorado Symphony Orchestra musicians and a backdrop of live art performances.
iFish, Denver Pizza Co., El Camino and the Shoppe will be proffering samples, and there’ll be plenty of fancy cocktails courtesy of Drambuie’s spectacular ice luge.
It all goes down from 7 to 11 p.m. at the sauciest new venue in town — the city’s McNichols Building, 144 West Colfax Avenue on the edge of Civic Center Park — and after 10 p.m., ticketed guests can move on to the official after-party at Chloé, 1445 Market Street, which offers free admission with a Whiteout wristband.
