Colorado Cannabis Calendar for the Week

This year's 4/20 gathering is over, but events continue to spill out. And this weekend, Colorado State University-Pueblo will hold a major cannabis confab. Keep reading for our cannabis calendar for the rest of April...and beyond.

Crypto Cannabis Conference

This one-day conference wants to connect visitors with cryptocurrency and legal cannabis, two of the country's fastest-growing investment sectors. A number of keynote speakers, Q&A panels and networking sessions are geared toward advancing crypto-cannabis knowledge, with raffles, giveaways and free refreshments available for guests. Admission starts at $75.

Mason Jar Spring Dinner
Wednesday, April 25, 6:30 p.m.
Location shared upon registration
Mason Jar Events will hold its seasonal spring dinner in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe, with the exact location shared with attendees upon registration. There will be live music, a multi-course dinner prepared by Chef Daniel Asher and, of course, plenty of cannabis-infused goodies. To attend (21+), guests must request an invite on the Mason Jar website.

Ellementa Meeting: How to Grow 101 & Ask a Budtender
Thursday, April 26, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Women-only cannabis support group Ellementa continues holding its monthly meetings, with its newest meetup focusing on the basics of cannabis cultivation and budtender expertise. Cannabis grower Ashley Maddox and budtender Paige Kazazian will both give presentations and answer questions during the gathering, which will be held at a historic manor in northwest Denver. Tickets (21+) are $10 now, and $20 at the door.

CSU-Pueblo Institute of Cannabis Research Conference
Thursday, April 26, through Saturday, April 28

Colorado State University's Institute of Cannabis Research will hold its second annual conference — a three-day, on-campus forum about scientific, medical, industrial, legal, economic and social elements of cannabis research with leading scholars and researchers in the field. Registration is $350 until April 26, when it goes up to $400. Veterans, active military personnel and students with appropriate ID can get in for $99, and Thursday's programming is free for all, courtesy of the school.

Reefer Madness: The Musical
Friday, April 27, and Saturday, April 28

You've heard of the movie, but what about the play? Reefer Madness: The Musical turns the dated but hilarious propaganda film made to scare people away from cannabis into a musical comedy. It's nearing the end of a sold-out run; see if you're lucky enough to snag a $20 ticket here.

Tetra 9 will celebrate local singer Annabelle's birthday and her new single, Lady, with a suit-and-gown party. Water and soft drinks will be provided at the private cannabis lounge; Tetra 9 members can attend for free. Cannabis: A Visual Perspective

This art exhibit at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History includes botanical watercolor, colored pencil, print and mixed-media illustrations from the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists, all of which explore the diversity of cannabis. Learn more on the exhibit's web page.
