That's why tonight's second annual Pajama Party at the Marriott Denver City Center is such a brilliant idea. Walter Isenberg, Evan Makovsky and Mayor John Hickenlooper invite you and your teddy to this blowout bash. But it isn't just any kids' sleepover: The $50 ticket ($75 at the door) buys you comfort food and cocktails, live jazz, a pajama contest and much more. Pajama committee member Mike Pritchard even promises a martini luge.
"I have no idea what that is," he adds.
What he does know is that all proceeds from the party benefit Denver's Road Home, the collaborative project between the City of Denver and United Way to end chronic homelessness within ten years.
The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott's Residence Inn, 1725 Champa Street. Guests can pony up additional cash for extras ranging from the Cotton package ($250), which includes a suite, two tickets to the party, a welcome note with fresh cookies and milk and a wake-up call from the mayor himself, all the way up to the Cashmere level, which gets you two suites, ten tickets, two free robes and two pairs of slippers, tons of recognition throughout the evening and two more nights at the hotel for a sweet $10,000.
