The matchmaking kicks off at 2 p.m. with a series of back-to-back seminars on money, dating safety and everything in between. At 5:30 p.m., participants will convene for cocktails and browse the wide array of exhibitor booths. Then comes the Freudian "Lock and Key Party," when keys are distributed to the men, locks to the women, and everyone is set loose to find his or her match. "The great thing is that everybody has the same pickup line, so you don't have to think of something clever to say to someone you want to talk to," says Cheri Collins, the owner of Singles Marketplace and one of three event coordinators. The evening concludes with music and dancing.
Advance tickets for the Summit range from $25 to $59; the price increases by $10 at the door, so buy early. Visit www.rmsinglessummit.com for more information.
