Now the show is returning to Denver for its third run. Though the choreography remains the same, the production has been updated with the addition of a live orchestra accompanied by two soloists and the Colorado Childrens Chorale. Obviously, its got a lot of humor, love, fighting. And its very true to the story, says artistic director Gil Boggs. There are no spoken words, but through the choreography, youre able to interpret whos falling in love and whos mad at whom. Its quite a spectacular production with the live singing, the orchestra and the dancing.
The show runs through March 14. For tickets, $19 to $145, and information, call 303-837-8888 or go to www.coloradoballet.org. Better yet, take advantage of the ballets Feed the Soul program: The ballet is selling fifty $10 tickets (two-ticket limit per patron) to each performance, starting two hours prior to the show at the Ellie Caulkins box office in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. So get there early and bring your friends.
