Participating restaurants will donate 25% of their profits to Project Angel Heart, which in the past eighteen years has delivered millions of meals to men, women and children suffering from life-threatening illness. Proceeds from the event account for 20 percent of the nonprofits total budget; organizers are hoping for 80,000 diners today, which will raise approximately $380,000.
Dining Out for Life is a great opportunity for people to make a difference in the life of someone battling illness by doing something they enjoy: eating out, says Erin Pulling, Executive Director of Project Angel Heart. In light of the current economy, its also a great way to patronize local restaurants while supporting a great cause.
Its a no-brainer: Toast the beginning of summer dining while helping local restaurants and those in need. Visit www.projectangelheart.org or call 303-830-0202 for participating restaurants and other information.
