But barring another barrage from the heavens, this year's event is on and, Korngold adds, the family festivity isn't just centered around eating latkes, though there will be plenty of that. "The focus of the party is community. We have a very busy summer, but the winter is different. We have some skiing events, but not everyone skis. We have indoor services, but not everyone wants to be indoors. This is our biggest opportunity for our congregation to get together in the wintertime."
