Tonights performance will combine new numbers as well as some favorite old ones. A lot of it seems to be about fantastical dreams, Love says. Carousel horses, queens of faraway tropical islands, dance numbers and a magic trick or two.
While the group has grown in size, its fan base has also ballooned. Five years ago, the Yard Dogs played the 300-person Benders Tavern, but when they roll into town today with Santa Cruz-based Devil Makes Three, which puts a punk spin on the blues, theyll be at the 1,600-capacity Ogden Theatre, 935 East Colfax Avenue. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9. Tickets are $23 in advance, $25 at the door. For more information, go to www.ogdentheatre.net or www.yarddogsroadshow.com.
