“The Colorado Ski & Snowboard Expo is your last big chance before the season really gets under way to find out about the best deals and packages on lift tickets, season passes, gear, soft goods, and everything you need to have a great season in the mountains,” says Jennifer Rudolph, a Colorado Ski Country USA spokeswoman. Stop by the Colorado Convention Center to check out discounts up to 75 percent off on last season’s gear, and pass and ticket package deals from all 25 Colorado ski resorts. “A lot of the pass prices start going up after this weekend, so it’s definitely worth getting out there,” Rudolph says. “There will also be trampoline demonstrations, a mountainboard big-air show, and a little kids’ slope for introducing some new people to skiing and snowboarding.”

This being the ski and snowboard industry, there will also be some ongoing après-expo opportunities: “Don’t miss the new Biergarten,” Rudolph says. “I hear there’s a fashion show.”

The expo runs today from noon to 10 p.m., tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 (print a $2 coupon online) and include a subscription to Ski or TransWorld Snowboarding magazine plus all the swag you can grab. Kids twelve and under get in free. For more info, visit www.bewisports.com/expos/denver.
Fri., Nov. 5, 12-10 p.m.; Sat., Nov. 6, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sun., Nov. 7, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., 2010
