Even the name is a little different, he notes. It's French for 'the red cock.' We just took that and ran with it.
The idea for the show started with magician Robert Scott, burlesque diva Anabella LaFontaine and Stewart, who all wanted to combine drag and burlesque with some vaudeville elements to create something collaborative and definitely unique. We have a magician who does shock magic, which I had never seen before, Stewart explains. He'll put eleven nails in his nose. And then we have a variety of burlesque performers who come through each week, so it's not something that you will see all the time; it changes every week. And we have different impersonators who come through, and they change out every week.
