A rite of passage in some Native American cultures, Visionquest is also the name of the breakout record label and DJ collective that became one of the biggest acts in underground dance music last year by combining house and techno with catchy, pop-influenced vocals. The band comprises four Detroit-area natives — Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Sean Reeves — most of whom now reside in Berlin, where they each enjoy a successful solo career. Visionquest the label released massive tracks by Maceo Plex, Benoit and Sergio, Tale of Us and Footprintz last year, and the collective dropped a new commercial mix, Fabric 61, just last month. Two of the four DJ/producers, Crosson and Curtiss, will perform this Saturday. Crosson has not played in Denver in more than three years, and Curtiss will be making his Colorado debut.
