A classically trained pianist who also sang and played cello and clarinet growing up, Laura Jones exploded onto the scene last year with releases on Leftroom and Visionquest; the songs "Love in Me" and "Live a Little" gained play on dance floors all over the planet, and she's been remixed by such heavyweights as Eats Everything, Maceo Plex and Kate Simko. Before she started producing floor-scorching tracks, this shooting star (who's based out of Leeds, England) was mixing them, weaving hypnotic webs that ensnare dancers for hours. There's no doubt she'll be using her talent for cross-pollination in the future, too: Expect to hear more of her gorgeous voice in her own production work as she builds up her catalogue. It's a coup to have her at House Fridays at NORAD Dance Bar this Friday, September 28, with P-Nut and Kevin Callison opening things up.
