Michael Olsen, who also owns Wicked Garden (1403 Larimer Street), opened Cherry (231 Milwaukee Street) to the public last weekend in the former space that was once home to Bar Luxe, the Milwaukee Grill and the Bay Wolf.

The new dance club, which offers bottle service and has a private VIP room, is geared toward thirty- to fifty-somethings, rather than the younger crowds downtown attracts. It also sports custom-made, cedar liquor lockers. The club's December hours are 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, and on New Year's Eve, Cherry hosts a New Year's Eve gala to benefit AmericanMilitaryFamily.org. More info at the club's website.
