The name of the young man from Highlands Ranch who died as a result of the injuries sustained from a fall at 1STBANK Center after Pretty Lights' New Year's Eve show has been released: Twenty-year-old Chris Engel was a graduate of Thunder Ridge High School and a junior at Colorado State University, where he was studying computer science.

After falling from an elevated area behind the stage, Engel was airlifted to a local hospital where he passed away on Monday. Early reports indicate that he was by himself when the incident occurred. There's no word yet on whether a toxicology test was performed, and at this point, it's unclear how Engel gained access to the part of the arena, which was reportedly restricted.
