This week's flier is a testament to getting a lot of mileage out of very few elements. In the flier for Impact, a new weekly night at Milk Bar for bass-loving dance music aficionados, there's not a lot going on. No crazy dinosaur or giant ape images to catch the eye, no chaotic riot of colorful collage, not even a TV dinner to make you hungry. It's just a few small bullhorns and ears denoting sound, a simple two-tone color scheme and some nice typography work, but boy does it ever come together nicely.

In its simplicity and quasi-minimalism, there's something very effective going on here. The lines of the flier draw your eye down through it, stopping at each section to divulge the relevant info. The red/white color scheme achieves maximum pop via high contrast and alternating the colors on the background and type. The overall layout is clean without being overly simple. Overall, it's a testament to good design and what looks to be a very fun night.
