ERIC PRYDZ @ THE CHURCH | FRI, 6/14/13 Eric Prydz's biggest hits so far have both incorporated famous work by other musicians: "Call on Me," from 2004, samples Steve Winwood's "Valerie," and the 2006 track "Proper Education" is a remix of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2." But the DJ released a number-one track on Beatport this year, "Power Drive," that's purely a Prydz creation. Live, Prydz plays whatever he thinks will keep the dance floor moving; he's not afraid to pull out tracks no one's heard of while playing at a major festival, and his unpredictability is part of what make his sets so vibrant and energetic. This year, Prydz is heading up a new residency in Las Vegas -- his first -- and releasing a plethora of new music on his label.

SONIC BLOOM @ SHADOWS RANCH | FRI-SUN, 6/14-6/16 David Sugalski, a Philadelphia native with a business degree from the University of Colorado, has carved out a respectable career for himself in dance music. Better known in EDM circles as the Polish Ambassador, Sugalski is creating music that reflects his life while constantly evolving as an artist and finding new and engaging ways to connect with listeners. -- Britt Chester
DATSIK @ THE OGDEN THEATRE | FRI & SAT, 6/14-6/15 Datsik, known in his native British Columbia as Troy Beetles, fuses the heaviest elements of rap and dubstep to create a unique sound that translates into the equivalent of standing in the middle of an epic man-versus-machine battlefield. With heavy distortion and intergalactic samples, Datsik delivers a show similar to that of Excision, a fellow Canadian, who helped boost his status by collaborating on various tracks and creating a notorious sound. -- Britt Chester
JACK ROLDAN @ THE FUNKY BUDDHA | SAT, 6/15/13 Jack Roldan is a local treasure. A transplant to Denver from Los Angeles -- L.A.'s loss is truly the Mile High City's gain -- Roldan has played at events of all sizes across the metro area, and he's kept the dance floors moving at every single one, programming and mixing his sets to match the vibe of the room and the night. Roldan's been deejaying for more than a decade, so he's had time to explore the intricacies of house music, from straight-jacking Chicago style to ethereal, dreamlike progressive tracks. No matter what flavor he's peddling, his careful selection and upbeat energy always keeps the party going strong. Catch him this Saturday, June 15, at the Funky Buddha with Uriah West.
