Numerous food trucks report running into roadblocks set up by confusing and sometimes contradictory rules; a Denver City Council committee will discuss those rules at a meeting at 1:30 p.m. today. In the meantime, fans are hopping on the bandwagon to support the biggest trend of 2010, in hopes that it won't grind to a halt in 2011.

Here's the word from valster68:

Food trucks are a solution for those of us whose office is a bit off the beaten paths of places to eat in downtown Denver. In the RiNo district there aren't many places to eat within close walking distance, and having Chicago Louie's truck come to us allows those who work in the area to get good food right outside the office. I hope that Chicago Louie's as well as all other trucks will be able to serve us anywhere in Denver as in other cities around the country, any time of day or evening. If the rules and regulations are not clear for everyone, this is a perfect opportunity for all those involved to clear them up and communicate so as to avoid wasting time on administrative issues instead of serving customers. All the best to Chicago Louie's and all food trucks in Denver. We need you!

We'll cover today's meeting and post the city's revised regulations for trucks. Roll 'em!
