Welcome back baseball!

The Colorado Rockies play their home opener today at 2:10 p.m. against the San Diego Padres, followed by games on Saturday and Sunday, and you'll need some good beer to go with your baseball.

Here are some of our favorite places to drink up:

Great Divide Tap Room, 2201 Arapahoe Street, will be open extra hours today, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will open for the first time on Sundays, starting April 11. Sunday Funday hours (check out the patio) are noon to 6 p.m. with tours from noon to 5 p.m.

Breckenridge Blake Street Pub, 2220 Blake Street, will be celebrating the Rockies with happy hours ($3 pints) on Friday from from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you have tickets to the game, stop in to the Blue Mountain Brewing Company @ the Sandlot, the Coors-owned microbrewery inside Coors Field and drink a Blue Moon where it was invented fifteen years ago, or a Right Field Red.

Del Norte Brewing will be serving purple beer (guess it can't be any worse than green brew on St. Paddy's Day) today at the the Lobby, 2191 Arapahoe Street, which will also celebrate Opening Day with a pig roast on the patio from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; the deal is $14.95 per person and includes all-you-can-eat baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, pasta salad, rolls and three types of barbecue sauce.
