Throughout October, TAG, located at 1441 Larimer Street, has been donating a portion of its sales to the "Fill the Cup" campaign, an effort by the Friends of the World Food Program to help raise funds for schoolchildren in developing countries. Donated proceeds are also going to the United Nations World Food Program in funding school meals programs in Africa, Asia and Latin America. According to the Friends of the World Food Program, 25 cents is enough to feed a child in school for one day.
TAG is the only participating Colorado restaurant. Diners not only receive the warm, fuzzy feeling of charitable giving; they also get to try out a new grains dish that Guard has created for the "Fill the Cup" campaign. Guard (who will also represent Denver in the "Taste of the NFL" culinary event in February) is serving seared Hawaiian ono with farro, heirloom carrots, baby squash and onion confit, topped with a Thai caper butter.TAG is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. To make reservations, call 303-996-9985.
