It's lights out, nobody home at Scott Tallman’s Gaslamp Grill. After eighteen months in business, Tallman decided last week that he just couldn’t keep his restaurant at 9199 West Alameda Avenue open any longer. (He’d been paying some of the bills out of his own pocket for the past several months, and that's almost always a fatal sign in any restaurant.)
So Gaslamp officially closed its doors on Wednesday, July 16. Check out this week’s Bite Me for all the gory details and an interview with Tallman about the closure, the economy and the hoopla over Lori Midson’s July 11 review of Gaslamp that's disappeared from the archives of the Rocky Mountain News. -- Jason Sheehan
