The Alamo Drafthouse, 7301 South Santa Fe Drive in Littleton, is hosting a grand opening celebration tonight; festivities include a screening of some of Pam Grier's most famous scenes followed by a Q&A with Grier herself. The first Colorado location in this quirky chain of theaters has 32 local beers on draft and an extensive menu featuring burgers, pizzas, salads, wraps, snacks and other treats that you can order in the theater, or enjoy at the bar. "An Evening with Pam Grier" starts at 7 p.m. tonight and costs $16; visit the website for more information.

Andrew Novick's Sweet Tooth: 1000 Photographs of Desserts (that I ate) continues at The Shoppe, 3103 East Colfax Avenue. Novick's exhibit of twenty years of dessert photography will be on display until April 7; call 303-322-3969 for more information.

Beer! Boulder's History on Tap also continues to flow at the Boulder History Museum, 1206 Euclid Avenue. The installation chronicles Boulder County's brewing history from the late 1800s to the present; the museum will offer several beer-related events before the show ends October 27. The Fancy Plants Vegan Prom kicks off at 8 p.m. tonight at the Mercury Cafe, 2199 California Street. There will be vegan food, live music and giveaways, and a cash bar. Admission (ages 21 and older only) is $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and proceeds will benefit the Peaceful Prairie Animal Sanctuary. Call the restaurant at 303-294-9281 for more information.
