"Bill Murray has made me laugh ever since he was a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and I just love the guy, his movies and all of the characters he's played, so we're making this Sunday's Bingo brunch all about Bill Murray's birthday," says Ballen.
All of the dishes on executive chef Theo Adley's brunch menu will be renamed to reflect Murray's characters portrayals, and the same will go for the cocktail list, which will feature Murray-isms like jugs of bloody Murrays and Murray-mosas. The party starts at 10 a.m., and during bingo brunch, which begins at 1 p.m., Murray-related prizes - DVDs, sixty-ounce beers slapped with photos of the actor and Bill Murray T-shirts - will be awarded to winners.
Ballen encourages patrons to dress appropriately. "We're going all out, and if you're a fashion icon with a Bill Murray outfit - like the Pabst Blue Ribbon-printed shorts he wears on the golf course - we definitely want you to pull them out of your drawer. We want you to show off your Bill Murray Sunday best," says Ballen, who will host bingo brunch alongside regular Sunday announcer Sam Tallent. "We all have our favorite celebrities, and Bill Murray is one of mine. I've been a fan of his forever, and we want to celebrate his birthday in style."
