Larsen, along with Drew and Ashley Shader, who own Fat Sully's (as well as the Denver Biscuit Company), will undoubtedly capitalize on Fieri's accolades when, as we first reported back in December, they open a second Fat Sully's on Thursday at 140 South Broadway.
The take-out only space -- it's sidewalk window ordering and delivery only -- shares a kitchen with its next door neighbor, the Crimson Canary, and starting on Thursday at 4 p.m., the crew will lift up the window and hand out free slices of pizza, a promotion that will continue with those same hours through Saturday. On Sunday, the dough slingers will dish out free slices from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. -- or until they run out, and on Monday, it'll open for its regular business hours, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; delivery to Washington Park, Baker, Bonnie Brae, Observatory Park, Platt Park and Cherry Creek will be available until 1 a.m. daily.
"We've been looking for another space to open for a few years, and this was the right spot and the right situation, plus this is a location that really allows us to expand our delivery squadron" says Larsen, adding that "Drew is really good friends with the guys from Crimson Canary, and it's great for us, because we get to share the kitchen." He reveals, too, that Shader is also looking for additional locations.
The menu, he says, will be the same as the original, with slices topped with the usual suspects, along with specialty slices -- like the "Guy Fieri" and whole pies that the duo are also hoping to deliver to watering holes around Baker that don't serve food. "The idea is to first introduce ourselves by bringing pizzas to all the bars around the 'hood, just to let them know that we're here, and then we'll see what happens, but we're open to anything, and we're super-excited to be in this area," says Larsen.
