Things are heating up on Larimer Street. Hutch & Spoon opened two weeks ago at 3090 Larimer Street, and just two days ago, Larimer Hot House got up and running at 2810 Larimer, in the space formerly occupied by Espo Gelato.

The restaurant, owned by Eric Chiappetta, the guy who also runs 3 Top Catering and Bombshell Barbecue, a site hawking Chiappetta's own line of BBQ sauces (the "best damn sauce you'll ever taste"), is brunch and lunch only, with a board of ten buck sandwiches with names like "Bitchen Camaro" and "Chicka-Chicka-Bow-Wow." All come with a drink, housemade potato chips and pickle and a Rice Krispies treat.

On Sundays, Chiappetta rolls out an all-you-can-eat Mexican-themed brunch for $13 per person ($6 kids ten and under), which includes pork and vegetarian green chile, fresh salsas, smoked bacon and sausage, jalapeno black beans and scrambled eggs.

Lunch is served Monday through Friday, 11 a.m to 5 p.m. and Sunday brunch goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
