Breckenridge Brewing has joined fellow Colorado breweries Odell, Great Divide and Oskar Blues in offering four-packs of some of its limited-release beers. The brewery will start with 471 IPA and 72 Imperial, a double chocolate cream stout made with chocolate from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory; it's the first time 72 Imperial has been sold in bottles. The point of selling four-packs is to allow customers to try higher-end, higher-priced beers in a smaller quantity, without having to pay for an entire six-pack.

Wednesday, January 18

Euclid Hall will help Boulder's Upslope Brewing kick off the very limited release of its canned Foreign Style Stout with a party at 5 p.m. today. Representatives of the brewery will be on hand to talk about the beer, which has been a tap-room favorite since it was first brewed to celebrate Upslope's one-year anniversary. It hits shelves shortly.

Boulder Beer rolls out the latest edition of its Whiskey Wednesday series today at 4 p.m. by tapping the delicious-sounding Orange Rainbow Mojo, a batch of the brewery's Mojo IPA that was aged for three months in a bourbon barrel with dried sweet orange peel and rainbow peppercorns.

Falling Rock Tap House will tap various beers from Stone and Avery tonight as part of the two breweries' sponsorship of "Road to the Winter X Games." You'll find a couple of Stone specialties, as well as Avery's Piglet Purgatory, 2010 Czar and others; there will also be various drawings and prizes involving the Winter X Games. It all starts at 7 p.m.

Thursday, January 19

Every day this month at 5 p.m., Euclid Hall will tap a tasty treat from its tightly packed cellar, including some rare and hard-to-find specialties. Tonight's beer is New Belgium's Dunkelweiss. That will be followed by Lost Abbey's Angle Share on Friday, Great Divide's Oak Aged Yeti on Saturday, Avery Sacrilicious on Sunday and Dogfish Head Punkin on Monday. Find the entire lineup in this post on Euclid Hall Beer Month.

Friday, January 20

Yak & Yeti will tap Sherpa Prima at 4 p.m. today. The beer is a porter aged in Leopold Bros. rye whiskey barrels. Yak & Yeti brewmaster Adam Draeger will release two kegs today and then a few at a time down the road. That way, Deaeger explains, "Each subsequent set of kegs will taste different, as it will be sitting in the barrel at different intervals." There will also be some actual Leopold Bros. rye whiskey on hand for those who want to do side-by-side tastings.

Copper Kettle will release its new Dortmunder lager today from 5 to 9 p.m. Traditional Polish sausages and pierogi will be available.

Great Divide has brought back its Firkin Friday program. This week you'll find a cask of Hercules double IPA that has been dry-hopped with Amarillo hops. It will be tapped at 3 p.m.

Saturday, January 21

Hops & Pie will go "firkin cherry" today at 2 p.m. when it taps a firkin of Bristol Brewing's Winter Warlock Oatmeal Stout that has been aged in the cask over cherries. Winter Warlock is the Colorado Springs brewery's winter seasonal.

Renegade Brewing will hold a third pairing event today with Denver Pretzel Company, bringing together the brewery's Uno Mas Mexican Amber with a chile relleno pretzel. The pretzels are about the width of a pint glass and will be available starting at 2 p.m.; $8 gets you one of each.

Sunday, January 22

Hops & Pie will fete California's Firestone Walker at the soon-to-expand pizza joint's monthly Littlest Big Beer Fest. Five Firestone beers will be on tap beginning at 2 p.m.: Pale 31, Parabola, Walker's Reserve, Double Jack and Velvet Merlin. Flights and single pours will be available.

Tuesday, January 24

Euclid Hall breaks out its Beer Bites program, a weekly series running through January, today from 3 p.m. to close. Beer Bites includes three two-ounce pours of selected beers paired with three bite-sized snacks for $12.50 in the bar; today's lineup involves hoppy beers.

And, further down the road...

There will be several stouts on tap, including a new one, Oatimus Prime Imperial Oatmeal Stout, along with Old School Dry Irish, Trickster, Chocolate Dip, Addiction, Dropkick, Stoked Oak, Nihilist, Girl Scout and Korova Cream. These will be paired with hors d'oeuvre, including toast crisps with sharp cheddar cheese, apricot compote and a stout reduction; smoked knockwurst and pretzel skewers; poached pears, Gorgonzola, crushed pistachios and a honey drizzle served on toast; and candied grapefruit rinds dipped in dark chocolate.

Sunday, January 29

Wake up right today with a three-course, sit-down brunch at Copper Kettle Brewing, which will give attendees a sneak peak of its new High Country Imperial Bourbon Breakfast Stout (being released to the public on February 4), made with a pound of coffee, dark chocolate and Kentucky aged bourbon. There will be two brunch sessions, one at 10 a.m. and one at noon; tickets are $30 per person. Brunch will be provided by the Chef Driven food truck, which will use some of the same ingredients as Copper Kettle does in its beer (bourbon in a maple syrup, for example). An appetizer will be paired with the brewery's Czech Pilsner, a main dish accompanies the Bourbon Breakfast Stout, and dessert will come with Mexican Chocolate Stout.

Wednesday, February 1
