This round's Immundo burlesque show has a special treat in store for attendees: None other than Lil' Miss Firefly, the sideshow midget (and yes, that is how she prefers to be referred to) doing a glass-walking burlesque routine fresh off her tour with the Pretty Things Peepshow -- the nation's only traveling burlesque/vaudeville show.

You read that right: glass-walking burlesque routine. Oh, and there will be some fire-walking thrown in for good measure as well.

"She's one of the premiere sideshow performers in circuit," notes Immundo's Anabella La Fontaine, "so she does all kinds of stuff. Eats light bulbs. She is some fun, let me tell you. She's three feet tall and full of madness.

"It's kind of fun to have her, because she gets to do exactly what she wants to do," La Fontaine adds. "The best part about it is when she does the glass-walking. When you see most people do it, they just get from one place to another, and she does an entire act on glass. I help to break the glass, and I know it's all real. I have the scars to prove it."

Also appearing will be perennial favorites Vivienne VaVoom, Orchid Mei, Phelyx the Magician, Reid Belstock and Imperial Court drag member Brandi Roberts.

What else will be new this year for Immundo? "The biggest thing we want to do is just bring bigger and greater shows, so it's not the same act every time," says La Fontaine. "And it's also a good place for people to do those fun acts that aren't necessarily theme-oriented, so there will be a little of everything."

Get a glimpse of these lovely ladies this Sunday, January 9, at the Rackhouse Pub, 208 South Kalamath Street; the show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Visit www.immundo.net for information or to purchase tickets.
