Gates open at 8 a.m. tomorrow (3501 South Rooney Road in Morrison) for the Grand Prix Motorsports Fall Racing Series Titan 16 and Titan 16 Junior Shootout events, and at the same time on Sunday for the Grand Prix Motorsports Bracket Bash. General admission tickets for each day are $14 for adults (12 and under free), and every ticket to Bandimere includes a pit pass, so you can bring you and yours up close to marvel at the muscle under the hoods.
"This is kind of the last hurrah before the snow starts flying," says Executive Vice President General Manager John C. Bandimere III, aka "Sporty."
"These are people who this is their life, this is their passion: to race, to be competitive, to go fast. They eat breathe and sleep racing, and this is their last shot at glory for the season. It's a fun atmosphere with a lot of comraderie, but it's also very competitive. The smell, the noise, the tension in the crowd... you can close your eyes and almost sense exactly what's going on, and it's brutal out there. I love it because it's all about that one shot, seven seconds to win or lose, and you don't get second chances."
If you've got a sweet ride that's up to the challenge, the series is also open to participants in a range of categories: Super Pro ($45), Pro ET ($45), Trophy ($35), Senior ($35), and Titan 16 Junior Shootout ($40). Start your engines!
