Tickets go on sale on Saturday at 10 a.m. for the second annual Snowboard on the Rocks at Red Rocks. The September 16 event will feature the world premieres of three films: TB20 is the twentieth-anniversary installment of the Totally Board series from Standard Films, Familia 2 is the second flick from local hero Marc Frank Montoya's Finger on da Trigger, and Shoot the Moon is the third film from Videograss Snow. "This year is going to be big," says Pat Milbery, co-founder of both Snowboard on the Rocks and event sponsor So-Gnar. "We kicked it off last year with the biggest snowboard film premiere event ever, and I'm excited to get so many snowboarders together again to kick off another season. I love being a part of bringing this community together through fun, positive, progressive events like this, and we definitely learned a lot last year. For being a few snowboarders throwing together a Red Rocks show, we did pretty good, but this year's show is going to be even bigger."

Snowboard on the Rocks will also feature live performances by RJD2, Doomtree and Michal Menert.

"I'm especially excited for all my snowboard friends to be exposed to Doomtree, a hip-hop collective from Minnesota, where I grew up," says Milbery. "Doomtree is gonna knock some people's fuckin' shoes off."

TB20 includes footage from Silverton Mountain, CO and from around the world and features an all-star lineup including Halldor Helgason, Sammy Luebke, Kevin Jones, Gjermund Bråten, Kazu Kokubo, Blair Habenight, Mark Carter, Xavier de le Rue, Kimmy Fasani, Ryan Tiene, Torstein Horgmo, Lonnie Kauk, Raewyn Reid, Mathieu Crepel, Leanne Pelosi, Eiki Helgason, Gulli Gudmundsson and Mads Jonsson.

"I'm honored that we're hosting the TB20 premiere," says Milbery. "Like any snowboarder who's been around for a minute, I grew up on those videos. I mean, my favorites when I was a kid were like TB4 or TB5, and it's just crazy that they're up to 20 already. Because of the anniversary, I think it's going to bring this legendary presence of people who've influenced snowboarding over the last two decades. You're going to see some of your heroes in the crowd, for sure."

Familia 2 is Marc Frank Montoya's second turn behind the camera, and features the MFM & Fam crew of riders. Watch for shots from downtown Denver and other cities: MFM is known as the "Godfather of urban snowboarding." Shoot the Moon also features footage from Colorado and from around the world, with parts from snowboarders Chris Grenier, Darrell Mathes, Gus Engle, Jake Olson-Elm, Jed Anderson, Johnny Miller, Jon Kooley, Jonas Michilot, Jordan Mendenhall, Justin Bennee, Louif Paradis, Mikey Leblanc, Nick Dirks, Nima Jalali, Will Tuddenham and Zac Marben.

The film lineup was announced yesterday; trailers haven't been released yet for TB20 or Familia 2. To check out the trailer for Shoot the Moon, visit vgsnow.com.

The event is being presented by Snowboard Colorado Magazine and So-Gnar; stay tuned for information about other partnerships (last year every Snowboard on the Rocks attendee walked away with a free lift ticket to a local mountain).
