Jordan Knecht's installation animum explorari is a complicated thing: A room within a room, curtained in black, its walls are papered with intricate wheat-pasted risograph photo-collages involving printmaking and drawing. Once inside, you'll have to look up, as there's a circular drawing on the ceiling, and you'll have to have a flashlight (part of a kit for viewers that also contains a monocular and magnifying glass) to activate sound elements.
The gallery recommends signing up in advance for this experience, no more than ten people will be admitted at a time; come back on July 5 for a twelve-hour live improvised music performance that takes the installation's interactivity a step further.
