Yesterday marked the three-year anniversary of our Mile High Murder archive -- and on that day, the first murder in year four took place.

The victim was the owner of a store on East 64th, who died in what appears to be a robbery attempt.

At this point in the investigation, the details are few. As noted by 7News, Commerce City Police responded to multiple 911 calls about a shooting at around 4 p.m. yesterday. The information led officers to 5908 East 64th Avenue, the location of Joyeria Alondra, which sells a slew of goods, ranging from jewelry to insurance.

Shortly thereafter, the owner was rushed to Denver Health, where he died.

Thus far, authorities have identified neither the owner nor the two suspects they're seeking in relation to the crime.
