On Wednesday, the Englewood Police Department revealed that a body had been found in an alley near the intersection of East Oxford Avenue and South Lincoln Street, an area captured in a graphic embedded after the jump (if you have problems seeing the image, click "View Larger Map"). Moments ago, the EPD confirmed that the death is being investigated as a homicide and identified the victim: Robert "Bobby" Grau, age 48.

Englewood -- Englewood Police Detectives have determined the recent suspicious death of Robert "Bobby" Grau, age 48, to be a homicide. On June 24, 2009, at about 6:06 AM, Mr. Grau was found deceased in the 4100 Blk. S. Lincoln/Sherman Alley. Anyone having any information regarding this crime please call Detective Disner at 303-762-2415.
June 24 EPD release:
Englewood - On June 24, 2009, at 6:06 AM, the Englewood Police Department received a reported man down call in the alley at E. Oxford Ave. and S. Lincoln St. A bike rider traveling in the alley found a male subject prone and not moving. The Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene. Paramedics on scene found no signs of life. The white male subject was about 50 years of age. First responders noticed signs of blunt force trauma to the subject's head and legs. Paramedics contacted Swedish Hospital and attending Physician Michael Hunt pronounced death at 6:21 AM. At 11:55 AM the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office responded to the scene and took control of the body. The subject's identity has not yet been confirmed.The death investigation is ongoing.
