Hey! Only five more days to the weekend! Yes!

As for the one that just ended, it was a busy one for Westword, which canvassed the city to bring you continuing coverage of Weird and Colorful Stuff.

The journey began Friday, at the grand opening of Wish nightclub (above), the new club from local promoter Kevin Larsons, heretofore known for his lavish fetish balls. Kim Berkey crashed the party, and took her camera with her.

Also Friday, Tom Murphy ventured to the Brooks Arts Center to bask in the soundscape of Microphones and some wonderfully weird Japanese music. He reviews the show on the Backbeat blog.

Saturday, Murphy shook the anime-cobwebs from his head and cruised to Larimer Lounge, for Mourning Sickness and The Silver Cord. His mind was sufficiently blown.

And, because she loves hot pink so much, Kim Berky infiltrated Saturday's Punk Rock Fashion Show at Benders Tavern.
