So if you weren't disturbed enough by the story of Linda Trabucco, a 44-year-old former teacher sentenced for an inappropriate relationship with a student beginning when he was in ninth grade, there's this:

The Aurora Police Department is on the lookout for a man who allegedly tried to snatch a four-year-old girl at Aurora Town Center last week. Witnesses reportedly called mall security when they saw him holding hands with the child, who was crying and looking around frantically -- the international signal for stranger-danger.

Below, get more details on the incident and take a look at five surveillance photos -- three inside the mall, three outside. In the former, the suspect is on the far right, wearing a cap and carrying a jacket.

The Aurora Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect who is alleged to have attempted to kidnap an 4-year-old girl from the Aurora Town Center, 14200 East Alameda Avenue in Aurora. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 22, 2010 around 7:00 p.m.

Witnesses in the food court reported seeing an adult Hispanic male holding the hand of a little girl who was crying and looking around as if she were looking for someone else.

When another witness flagged down a nearby security officer, the man let go of the child's hand and walked out of the mall quickly into a parking lot.

This unidentified male was described as being of medium height and build. He had a mustache, and was wearing a dark colored baseball cap with white writing on the back and blue jeans. He had a brown work coat that had a hood and a logo or name on the left breast area.

The suspect got into a late 90's or early 2000's dark colored Toyota Tacoma pickup with chrome wheels.

Investigators from the Crimes Against Children Unit are actively working the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Susan Wynn at 303.739.6208.
